Toenail fungus is an unsightly and often embaressing condition.Diagnosis is made upon examination of the nail. Symptoms may include one or more of the following; yellow discoloration of the nail, brittleness, thickening  and sometimes crumbling of the nail itself.
Fungal nail infections are generally difficult to treat. Left untreated complications can arise. There can be permanent damage to the nails, secondary skin infections and the transferance of the fungus to other nails.
The sooner you begin treatment for the infection the better.
There are many over the counter creams available, but I have found these disapointing as they did not work. There are also oral medications available at a very costly price, not only in $$, but at a great medical risk also. Relapse after treatment with oral medication is also common, approximately 50% of the time.
In order to completely rid yourself of the fungus the PH balance of the nail and surrounding skin must be altered.
I have found something that truly worked, with no reocurrance of the fungus at all. The best part is a years supply costs around $10.00.
I hope this will be as much help to you as it was for me.
Remember this is a fungus and it takes about 9 months or until the nail is completely grown out to be rid of it. In order to kill off the fungus you must change the PH level of the skin and nail.
Go to the grocery store and buy the cheapest white vinegar available. Next you will need an eyedropper. Apply 2 drops to the cuticle area and allow this to drip down the sides and top of the nail. Do this twice daily, morning and night. As the nail grows out the fungus will not be present.
Fungus and bacteria alike flourish in damp environments, so try to keep your feet as dry as possible. Take your socks off and go without as often as you can. It is also important to keep the nails very clean, I found a nail brush very effective and it also helps to remove the dead fungus and nail tissue..
It will take about 6-8 weeks before you will begin to notice a change. The fungus that is already present will die off but will not be gone. This you will be trimming off as you go along. As the nail grows out you will see it is not coming back.
It is also important to know that you cannot wear nail polish at all. This provides the fungus with an ideal environment to grow in as it traps moisture under the nail.
Try not to miss a treatment, as the only way to change the PH level is to keep at it.
I sincerely hope this will help, it worked for me!
